Itinerary
We start our day in Bath with a late morning tea in the Sally Lunn's world famous tea house in the centre of the city. The local delicacy, the Original Sally Lunn Bun, has been baked here since 1680.
Then it is a time to visit the Roman Baths, the finest religious spa in Northern Europe, built 2,000 years ago around the country's only hot springs. Audio guides and computer animations bring the experience to life.
Lunch: We may try the Clarke's Restaurant, voted best restaurant in Bath, serving modern English cuisine with an excellent friendly atmosphere. The Sunday Brunch & Roasts are very popular.
Afternoon free time: There is so much choice what to do in the town. With a fabulous selection of small independent shops, stylish boutiques, Bath offers a great shopping alternative to hustle and bustle of the London High Street. If you want to see beautiful vaulted ceiling or amazing stained glass, or just want a place of stillness in the city centre, Bath Abbey is the place to come. Or why not to jump the Bath Sightseeing hop on and off bus to learn more about the city. But if you want to experience the famous hot springs, head for ultimate afternoon in the Thermae Bath Spa, a day spa where you can bathe in the warm, natural mineral-rich waters with the and unwind in the series of aromatic steam rooms (optional, price guideline 2-hour spa session - 22 GBP; not included in the price).
Leaving Bath in the early evening we aim to be back in London around 7.30pm.
