Day 1
Arriving to Prague by midday, we send our luggage to the hotel and head to the city centre. Quick refreshment break and we embark on the guided walking tour through the historic city centre following the Royal Route. Strolling along the streets of the Old Town we will not miss The Old Town Square with Christmas market and the Astronomical Clock, the 13th century Charles Bridge lined with souvenir stands and talented artists and musicians, Prague Castle and its grounds with the St. Vitus Cathedral and changing of the guards at the gates, Prague’s Jewish quarter, its Synagogues and the Cemetery where Franz Kafka was buried… and much more
Later in the afternoon we sign in the hotel and get ready for the night out. We start the night with a dinner. Let’s skip these fancy restaurants on the main street and go to the proper Czech pub serving proper food. Yes it is heavy; yes it is fat; but veeeeery nice. And it wouldn’t be complete without a pint of chilled lager… or maybe two.
Prague at night is magical with all the monuments illuminated, so let’s stroll through the streets again. Why not to check the Christmas market with the massive Christmas tree in the Old Town Square where all the crowds gather to warm up with a cup of mulled wine; or climb the narrow cobbled lanes to the Castle and reward yourself with the wonderful view across the whole city.
For all night owls… opportunities are endless …clubs, bars, jazz cafes. Famous Karlovy Lazne is a Prague's superclub set over four floors conveniently situated in the proximity of our hotel. Live bands, chillout rooms and free internet access in the basement, standard tunes one floor up, ecletica up one again, and more hard core dance tracks in the loft.
Day 2
Today the choice is really yours. After the breakfast you can explore the city even more, loose yourself in museums and galleries, browse shops with famous Czech bohemian glass, handmade jewellery, wooden toys and puppets, head to the Petrin Tower (smaller version of the Eiffel Tower) for stunning views over Prague… just chill out and enjoy.
Later in the evening we start our journey back, aiming to be in London by 8pm.
