"SUNDAY ROAST WALK" - Day Trip to Box hill woodland

How to book this trip? Simply RSVP "yes" and pay on the departure day (for Box hill woodland trip we do not collect the payment in advance).

Surprisingly extensive, Boxhill is rare truly natural open-space so close to London. It has much to offer the rambler and naturalist with many beautiful walks and views towards the South Downs from the summit.

Itinerary

Starting at Boxhill & Westhumble we cross the River Mole on stepping stones before going up on the North Downs Way with wonderful views out over the valley. We follow Happy Valley path, explore deep woodlands and climb up the White Hill. After lunch in Mickleham we carry through Norbury Park and finish in Leatherhead from where we take the train back to London aiming to be back around 7pm.

Awesome day, great company and the fact I actually survived the walk in one piece was a miracle (not becuse of the difficulty, but rather my lack of fitness!). And that pub was fantastic.

it was a very well organised walk, with a lovely Sunday lunch half-way through.

Very nice day away in beautiful countryside on London's doorstep. As usual very well organised and guided by Eva. Enjoyed the walk, the group, the pub - nice challenging steep hills, great to bring up your heart rate. My lamb shoulder at King William iv pub was to die for, actually best lamb I ever had. All in all fab day!
